Learn Network Automation Free: Inside the AutomateNetOps Academy

3 minute read

Ask anyone who has tried to roll out network automation why it stalled, and you’ll rarely hear “the tool couldn’t do it.” You’ll hear something quieter: nobody on the team was confident enough to trust it. Automation adoption doesn’t fail on features — it fails on the gap between installing a platform and knowing, in your hands, what it will do to a production switch.

Most vendors answer that gap with documentation and a sales-engineer phone call. We decided to answer it with a curriculum.

Today we’re opening up the AutomateNetOps Academy: seventeen courses, sixty-three lessons, organized into four tracks — with a free public selection available to anyone at automatenetops.ai/tutorials/academy. No signup wall on the public track. Start watching in the next thirty seconds if you like.

What’s actually in it

The Academy wasn’t filmed against slideware. Every lesson is recorded on the real platform doing real operations — actual switches taking actual configuration changes, actual backups, actual rollbacks when a change doesn’t verify. If a lesson shows a workflow running against five devices, those were five devices.

The four tracks mirror how the platform itself is organized:

  • Foundations — nine courses that take you from Getting Started through agents, integrations, the marketplace, virtual labs, and keeping documentation honest.
  • Regnor™ · Automate — the automation core: the Workflow Designer, control flow, AI-assisted automation, change safety, and day-2 operations.
  • Valdis™ · Secure — inventory, pools, and access control: who can touch what, and how credentials stay behind your firewall.
  • Tavrin™ · Comply — compliance monitoring: drift, dashboards, and validating compliance inside a workflow.

Three courses worth your first hour

Change Safety is the philosophy course. Back up before you touch anything, roll back when verification fails, and follow the Safe Change pattern — snapshot, blast-radius check, human gate, apply, verify, restore on failure. If you only watch one course to understand how we think about production, watch this one.

AI-Assisted Automation is the frontier course. The Copilot, the AI nodes, and how to extend the AI with your own knowledge — including the part most AI demos skip: the permission model that decides what an AI is allowed to touch, and what it must ask a human about first.

Workflow Designer Fundamentals is start-here territory: talking to devices, verifying connectivity, and building your first verified pipeline — the “first win” that turns a skeptic into an operator.

Pro tip: the lessons are short on purpose. Most run a few minutes, each one demonstrates a single idea on the real product, and every course ends with something you can reproduce yourself.

Paths, not piles

The public selection is the on-ramp. Inside the product, signed-in users get the full Academy at app.automatenetops.ai/academy — the deeper course range, organized into three paths named for how people actually engage with a platform like this:

  • Operator — you run the platform day to day
  • Evaluator — you’re proving it out for your team
  • Auditor — you verify what it claims: compliance, evidence, access

Same real-product footage, same short-lesson format — sequenced for your actual job instead of a generic syllabus.

Where this goes next

A complete packaged course is headed for Udemy and Coursera. That’s partly reach — but mostly feedback: course-platform reviews are direct, public, and unsparing, and we intend to use every one of them to make the curriculum better. Teaching in public means learning in public.

Start free, then go deeper

The public track is open right now — no account needed: start with Getting Started.

And when you’re ready to run what you’ve learned on a real platform, join the Regnor™ beta — the full pathed Academy is waiting inside.
